How does design and problem solving relate?
Solving problems goes hand in hand with design. The world around us is made of art and design, whether it is the shoes we are wearing or the computer we are typing on. Though to have been able to wear shoes that could stay on our feet or use a computer that will actually work there has to have been experiments and problems that needed to be straightened out. To fix a problem is where design comes in. Creating a design means observing the issue then creating an object or solution that could fix the problem. After coming up with several ideas then the designer must think through functionality, how the solution communicates a message, and the aesthetics of the solution. So, as you see Design is the solution to a problem.
