What is the max capacity per floor?

100 participants - this allows there to still be free space to move around from table to table, otherwise all the tables would be full and you would not be able to join another one.

Can admins set up profiles in advance?

Admins can set up profiles and whiteboards pre-event. Attendees have to create their own profiles while in a Remo event.

What format is required for downloadable material?

All kinds of formats - CSV, Excel, Word - as long as it is a link.

Can you mute all participants in presentation mode?

All participants are automatically muted in presentation mode.

What does the bell mean?

Could be an announcement or a table invite.

Can you flag people as honorees, sponsors, etc.?

Currently the "flair" in the profile icon is only accessible to Remo employees, however you could have them upload a profile picture that has the words "honoree" or "sponsor".

Can you import a guest list if registration was captured elsewhere?

Currently we have no integration with 3rd-party event services like EventBrite; however, we will be setting up a Zapier integration so that EventBrite information can be sent to Remo directly

Can you lock a table for no one else to join?

Currently, no. This feature is still being developed. However, we do have a "stage" which is exclusive to event managers and hosts. If you are an event manager the host can invite you up to the stage.

Can you have multiple admin for an event?

Depends on the plan you buy. If you have the host subscription, there can only be 1 host, however on higher subscriptions you would have the ability to designate multiple event managers.

How many hosts (event managers) can there be?

Depends on your subscription plan. You can designate unlimited event managers as a Studio user, 10 if you're on the producer plan, and 3 if you're on the director plan.

How often do you do feature updates?

Every 2 weeks on Monday

If 2 people want to start a presentation, can you make them co-presenters?

If 1 of the presenters is a host, they can start a presentation and add another participant by right-clicking on their name under the participants tab. Otherwise, depending on your subscription plan you would be able to assign multiple speakers to the event.

How do you invite people to the stage?

If you are a host, right click on the event manager's profile picture and select "Put to stage." They must accept your invitation.

Can you present without a camera on?

If you are an admin or event manager, your camera automatically turns on, but you can turn it off. If you are an invited speaker, you have to allow camera and mic first when you come up on the stage.

How many people can a lounge seat?

In default maps, the lounge seats the same amount of people as the other tables. On a studio plan, you can submit a custom floorplan with the desired amount of seats.

How do you pull the attendee roster?

In the registration section, you can export the attendee list as a CSV file in the top right corner.

Can we create badges for our staff (on our profile icon)?

Can you force someone to move to another table?

No, but you can invite people to join yours.

Can you block a seat?

No, but you can remove people.

Can you see the floor plan in presentation mode?

No, you can only see the floor plan in conversation mode. You would not be able to move around the tables in presentation mode either, however you have the ability to chat with other participants and your table.

Can the floor plan be different for each floor?

No.

Can you restrict access to a room?

No.

Do you use Remo business card data?

No.

Is it possible for a presenter to see participants' faces?

No.

Can there be multiple presentations on each floor?

No. Currently the same presentation is broadcast to all floors in the building.

Do all tables have to be the same size?

No. Different types of tables can seat 2, 4, or 6 people.

Can you assign people to tables?

No. Trying to mimic real life

Are there breakout rooms in Remo?

Not in the sense that Zoom has breakout rooms. However, you can encourage your members to go to different floors or different tables. Of course, they still have the ability to move freely among tables.

Can attendees view a list of all other attendees at the room and table they are at?

Not yet.

Is there a way to give some guests access to the event earlier than others?

One way to do this would be to set up a separate pre-event technical check-in. You could also open the event at 12:15, but inform guests not to come until 1:00

Difference between a host and an event manager?

Only 1 host: full administrative controls, including settings. Can have multiple event managers but they only have presenting controls and cannot change the settings. Speakers do not have admin controls. They can only come up on the stage and share their screen from presentation mode.

Can you record the presentation?

Only as a host. When you click on "Present" you will be given a choice to record the presentation. Afterward you can find the recording in the Event Settings, under Broadcast.

Can you pre-download a Powerpoint or only share screen?

Only share screen.

Can a handful of people (e.g. 30) speak to each other?

Our max capacity is 8, and we are planning on increasing to 12 at the end of the month (Studio Plan).

What is the knocking sound?

That means someone has joined your table.

What features are included in the free trial version?

The free trial includes all director features for 14 days - however, event duration is capped at ~ 2 hours rather than 2.5.

Can you change the background?

There are 4 color options; however, you can create a custom floor plan with a different background and color. One user hosted their wedding on Remo and the floor plan was a boat in the middle of the ocean!

Do the invitation emails send out immediately after the event is created?

They send out as soon as you click "invite" under Event registration. However, there's now an option to opt out of sending a Remo registration email. You can export the attendee list and use your own email to send to them.

How do you set up multiple floors?

This is automatic based on how many attendees you have.

Will you be adding closed captions to presentations?

This is not currently available. However, it is on our product roadmap (https://remo-conference.nolt.io/newest). The developers prioritize items by how many votes they receive, so we encourage you to upvote the entry so it gets their attention.

Someone didn't receive the invitation. What do I do?

Under Event Settings -> Registration, there is an option to resend the invite next to their name.

How do you insert your own floor plan?

Visit the article by clicking on "Need Help" in the bottom left corner, then searching up "custom floor plan"

The table is full, but as an admin I want to join.

We are working on this and will soon have it up and running.

How do you price custom events?

We charge $1/attendee/hour of the event and $2/attendee/hour for in-house chat support.

What does Remo do with attendee data?

We do not use attendee data for anything besides to send out emails from the registration page.

Does the crown automatically appear if you are a host/event manager?

Yep!

Can you remove a disruptive participant?

Yes - a host or event manager can right click on that person in conversation mode and remove them from the event, either temporarily or permanently.

Can speakers run without a host?

Yes, but this is not recommended since hosts have greater controls/familiarity with the platform.

Is it possible to have more than 1,000 people at an event?

Yes, but we would need to arrange a custom quote with you since this is not within the capacity of any current subscription plan.

Is Remo compatible with IOS and Android?

Yes, on IOS we are compatible with Safari and Chrome on Android. However, we highly recommend using a desktop or laptop for the best experience.

Can other participants see that I have my hand raised?

Yes, under the participants tab.

Can you present to all 8 floors simultaneously?

Yes.

Can you have multiple hosts/moderators?

Yes. Designate event managers under the R Logo -> settings -> event manager.

Can an attendee leave and return using the same link?

Yes. However, if they are taking a short break/going to the bathroom they could also just mute themselves and turn off their camera.

Can you have a designated IT person "on site" rather than via the chat support box?

Yes. We can have a chat support staff assigned to your event for an additional fee.

Can you run an attendance report?

Yes. You can pull a list of the participants and export the CSV file.

Can people sit silent and invisible at a table and still hear what's happening?

Yes. You would be able to see their icon on the floor, but not their face or audio.

How can I have employees make events?

You can assign event managers (separate from the host). Under a director subscription, you would be able to assign up to 3. Do this by going to global settings -> R icon -> click settings and assign event manager.

Can you have fewer tables?

You can change the number of tables by redesigning the floor plan. I will send a link about designing a custom floor plan.

Can you create a paid event?

You can direct the participants to an external ticketing service, like Eventbrite. You would have to make the event private and add whitelisted attendees to the list.

How do you find an individual participant?

You can find them in the participants tab, and message them about where they are.

Are you able to adjust the size of the screen share window to be larger?

You can full-size the screen in the top right corner. However, at the moment we are not able to change the size of each screen while keeping both visible.

Can you share a presentation via Whiteboard?

You can have an agenda with steps or a YouTube video in Whiteboard, but this would only be visible to the table. Once you are in whiteboard you would not be able to see someone else at your table's share screen.

Can you record presentations and post them to YouTube?

You can live stream by connecting to Google Ad Sense, however you would need 4,000 public watch hours and 1,000 subscribers on your account. Alternatively you could save your broadcast recording and upload to YouTube after the event.

Is there a way to advertise sponsors besides ad banners?

You can submit a custom floor plan where the sponsor logos appear on top of each table.
