marginalization
1. Groups lacking desirable traits are excluded from society. These groups include poor, uneducated, undesirable color and language. These groups will stay on the margin of acceptance by society unless there is social intervention. 2. The person does not identify with either the dominant culture or their own.
covert racism
1. instances of discrimination that are less blatant speech that relies heavily on racist stereotypes or ideas, but that is not recognized by the speaker as racist 2.Unstated, often systemic, often unconscious discrimination against some races in favor of others

absolute poverty
Absolute poverty measures the number of people living below the poverty line, which is the minimum determined income an individual needs to survive adequately--to have enough money for food, clothing, and shelter
