What are the five major patterns of organizing main points in a speech?

Chronological,spatial, casual, problem, and topical order.

Casual Order

Speeches that are arranged in a casual order show a cause and effect relationship. IN your speech in this order , is the two main points will be devoted to cause and effect Depending on your topic of your speech your first main point should be cause then effe, or it can be the other way around, but it is best to put cause first

Problem - solution-order

Speeches that are arranged in problem solution order are divided into two main parts. First part shows the serious part of the problem, and the second part shows way to work out the solution.

spatial Order

Speeches that are arranged in spatial order follow a directional pattern. The main points will be top to bottom , left to right , front and back , and so on.

Topical Order

Speeches that are arranged in topical order is when you divide the speech topics in to subtopics, which will become main points in your speech. Say you want to talk about different types of jobs so you will divide the different jobs you want to talk about those will be your main points.

Summaries

Statement in the body of the speech that summarizes the speaker's preceding point.
