A research aid that catalogs articles from a large number of magazines, journals, and newspapers
Abstract
A summary of a magazine or journal article written by someone other than the original author Abstract is only a summary of the article. You should never cite an article in your speech on the basis of the abstract alone
Reference Work
A work that synthesizes a large amount of related information for easy access by researchers
Government Resources
Access to government documents and publications on the federal or state level
Sponsoring Organization
An organization that, in the absence of a clearly identified author, is responsible for the content of a document on the Internet
Virtual Libraries
Search engines that combine internet technology with traditional library methods of assessing data. The best virtual library on the internet is a merger of two previous virtual libraries, "Librarians' Internet Index" and "Internet Public Library", now called www.ipl.org
