Okapi

Although it has markings similar to a zebra, the Okapi is most closely related to the giraffe. They are threatened by poaching and the destruction of the Congo rainforests.

Baird's Tapir

Baird's Tapir is a large mammal similar in shape to a pig. Hunting by humans and habitat loss have reduced their numbers threatening extinction.

The Panamanian Golden Frog is critically endangered and may even be extinct in the wild. Like other amphibians it has suffered major population loss due to fungal infection.

The West Indian Manatee is the largest manatee and found in the shallow coastal waters of the Caribbean & Florida. Many Manatee die due to illegal poaching and collisions with motorboats

Wondiwoi Tree-kangaroo

The Wondiwoii Tree-kangaroo are found in the rainforests of Papua New Guinea. Hardly anything is known about this species, the animal has not been seen since 1928.

Yellow-crested Cockatoo

The Yellow-crested Cockatoo is founded in Indonesia. It is critically endangered due to it being illegally trapped to be sold as caged pets.

Blue Whale

The blue whale is the largest animal ever known to have existed. Blue whale hunting was banned in 1966 after their numbers fell quickly due to commercial whaling.

Clouded Leopard

Very little is known about the Clouded Leopard due to their nocturnal and reclusive nature. Clearing of forest habitat by humans means that many of forest areas are too small to support clouded leopard populations.
