Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace because they refuse to bow down to the kings image. So, Nebuchadnezzar commanded that they be tied up and thrown into the furnace. When they were thrown in they weren't harmed, they walked around with fire on them and had no scars. Even the soldiers who threw them in died from how powerful the heat was. But these three didn't and there was a fourth figure walking with them that looked like the Son of God.
