To register to vote you must:

1. Be a us citizen through birth or naturalization 2. At least 18 yrs old by the date of election 3. A resident of the community in which you register

Advocacy is based on :

1. The careful gathering of facts 2. Having excellent communication skills 3. Having an effective plan and time line

Initiative

A procedure that enables a specified number of voters to propose a law by petition. The proposed law is then voted on by voters

Recall election

Allows votes (in certain states) to remove elected officials from office before their term expires
