It is heat energy is transferred from one body to another through direct contact

What is thermal energy?

It is the total energy of a material's particles.

What is thermal expansion?

It is when the particles in something expand because of heat.

What is temperature?

Measure of the average kinetic energy of individual particles in a substance.

Stratosphere

The liquid water of Earth

What is the atmosphere?

The mixture of gases that surround Earth.

What is the geosphere?

Troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere

trade winds, westerlies, polar easterlies
