Who were the Federalists, and what did they believe?

Federalists are supporters of the Constitutions. They wanted a strong federal government to provide protection, maintain order, regulate trade, and guarantee the rights of citizen.

What's the difference between a direct democracy and a republic

In a direct democracy the citizens are making their own laws, while in a republic,the citizens choose a few people to make laws on their behalf.

It called for a one-house legislature in which each state would have an equal number of votes.

What is the difference between a law and moral?

Laws are rules of society that are enforced by government. Morals are beliefs about what is fair and what is right or wrong.

What is the difference between goods and services?

Physical products are goods. Jobs you pay to get done are services.

Ratification or Rejection. 2 ways to ratify: approval by the legislatures of 3/4 of the state; approval by special conventions in 3/4 of the state.

What were the Articles of Confederation and why, according to George Washington, were they a failure?

The Articles of Confederation established Congress and gave it the power to declare war, make treaties with foreign countries, and work out trade agreements between states.

How does our Congress represent a compromise of these two plans?

The Great Compromise had a bicameral legislature. The House of Representatives would be elected based on state population. In the Senate, each state would have two representatives.
