Malignant adjective

Definition: (of a disease) very virulent or infectious. Sentence: She had a malignant tumor on the right side of her brain.

Predicament noun

Definition: a difficult, unpleasant, or embarrassing situation. Sentence: I was in a very awkward predicament when I was called on to answer the question because I had been talking.

Prerogative noun

Definition: a right or privilege exclusive to a particular individual or class. Sentence: Well known or rich people are given prerogative rights as apposed to poor people.

Initially adverb

Definition: at first. Sentence: I initially had thought I was going to go out with my friends, but remembered that I have some unfinished school work.

Grappling verb

Definition: engage in a close fight or struggle without weapons; wrestle. Sentence: I walked past and alleyway that was behind an old bar and witnessed two drunk men grappling.

Incriminate verb

Definition: make (someone) appear guilty of a crime or wrongdoing; strongly imply the guilt of (someone). Sentence: I was wrongfully incriminated by a teacher because I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Wager noun

Definition: more formal term for bet. Sentence: I watched as a wager for money happened across the table.

Unsubstantiated adjecive

Definition: not supported or proven by evidence. Sentence: I questioned my professor when he taught an unsubstantiated subject in class.

Liminal adjective

Definition: of or relating to a transitional or initial stage of a process. Sentence: I sat in the liminal space between my friends.

Contemplation noun

Definition: the action of looking thoughtfully at something for a long time. Sentence: I can see the contemplation on my friend's face after I asked them to help me move.

Gratitude noun

Definition: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. Sentence: I feel immense gratitude towards receiving gifts.

Reluctant adjective

Definition: unwilling and hesitant; disinclined. Sentence: When I am asked to cover a shift on the weekend, I feel very reluctant to do it.

Dastardly adjective

Definition: wicked and cruel. Sentence: He gave a dastardly face when he was caught red handed.
