What was your website responsive.

1) We used 2 media queries on every page (web screen mobile) to apply different css. 2) we had the majority of our width values set to percentages which allowed for them to be responsive and the screen size resized. We also used viewport widths for some of our header and paragraph text so the size also correlated with the viewers screen size. 3) we checked our website in different web browsers to ensure that everything appeared as it should on computers as well as phones.

What did you learn during this project

3/4 of our members didn't know any code going into this event and we definitely had to pick it up quickly. Everyone that had no prior knowledge learned html and css basics over winter break and used that knowledge to make our regional submission. Going forward, we knew we needed to step our game up and started looking into the more complex css attributes and seeing what all we could do aside from the basics and learned a lot of new styling options through the process of improving our site and making it more viewer friendly.

What was the most challenging part of this project?

There were a lot of challenging parts that we experienced but if I had to pick one it'd probably be, the pop up modals and the arrow navigation within the photo page, the athletic pages, and the extracurricular pages. Since none of us had a strong knowledge of JavaScript going into this event, it was difficult at first for us to understand how to properly incorporate it. There was definitely a learning curve.

What were some of the more complex html things you did?

We created a table in our extracurricular page using the table tag, table row tag, and table data tag. We used a combination the the span, div, and section tags to apply styling to certain content. Audio w controls Video w controls Radios Buttons

How did you make your graphics

We gathered photos from a variety of different sources. For our images we got online, we got them on Pexel, Unsplash, and Pixabay. All of the Carrie carter photos we took ourselves. And all of our school photos we either got from staff at our school or from kids at our school.

What did you use JavaScript for?

We used JavaScript for the modal pop up screens throughout various pages [as well as the arrow navigation in the photos modals]. We also used it for the ticket counter on Carrie carters tour location pages and on the quantity inputs on the individual merch pages. We also used it was the slide in nav menus on the mobile pages

How did you pick your color scheme?

Well we wanted each section to be distinct from one another. For the TSA section we based our theme off of the TSA motto, learning to lead in a technical world, so we went with a bright, futuristic design. For the high school section, we decided to go with a natural, earthy color scheme. And for the Carrie Carter section we decided to go with a girly color scheme, consisting of mainly light pinks and purples, to correlate with the fan base Carries 'brand' would appeal to.
