WHAT IS SCIENCE?
The physical sciences, which include physics and chemistry, investigate matter and energy. The two main branches of physical science are physics and chemistry.
* Physics is the study of basic components like matter, motion, forces, heat, and energy, and how they interact. *Chemistry also involves the study of matter and deals with the properties and structure of materials, as well as ways in which those materials interact and the changes they undergo.

Academics began to require physical evidence and measurements to prove that an argument concerning the nature of things was actually true. Gradually, a more rigorous method of investigation laid the foundation for modern science.
