Course Interface

Includes 4 parts - course navigation, content area, breadcrumbs and the side bar.

Canvas Dashboard

Includes 4 parts - global navigation, side bar, global stream and help bar.

Side Bar - Dashboard

Contains a "to do" list that help you keep track of the assignment that you need to grade. It also contains a "coming up" list of assignments and events.

Help Corner

Is accessible from any page within canvas. It allows you to modify your personal settings profile, get to your inbox conversations with students and teachers, log in and out and access the canvas help guides.

Global Navigation

It is a static menu across the top of the page that gives you direct access to different locations in your canvas courses.

Course Navigation

Provides links to help you design course content. You may hide or reorder these links to simplify your course navigation.

Global Stream

Shows recent activity from all your canvas courses. Including announcements, conversation message, assignment notifications and discussions.

Breadcrumb Navigation

Shows your current location in a course and allows you to easily move to a previous screen.

Content Area

The area were content is displayed.

Side Bar - Course interface

This will change depending on where you are. It often provides tools and resources to help you build you course.
