WYSIWYG editor
("What You See Is What You Get"): an editor or program that allows a developer to see the end result will look like while the interface or document is being created. These editors show exactly what the end result of the HTML coding will look like. This is especially awesome when using images. Instead of seeing the HTML code, you can see the actual picture.
Universal Serial Bus (USB)
an external cable and connector used for connecting peripheral devices to a computer. Digital cameras and camera phones allow users to take their own pictures and copy the prints to a computer via a scanner or upload the digital image to the computer via a Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection. Many printers have built in scanners that allow users to place a photo face down on the scanner window and transmit the image to the connected computer. Use a USB to connect your camera or phone to the computer.
Purpose of using images and graphics
There is a reason over 80 million pictures are posted to Instagram per day: images attract. For a web page to capture a user's interest, it must include the right images and graphics. The most effective pictures to use on a web page should be relevant to the content, aid the viewer's comprehension, support the overall purpose, and create the appropriate emotion.
Most effective use of images and graphics
While it's good to be versatile, the most effective images and graphics will relate specifically and directly to the content. Avoid using general images. Select ones that are so precise they could almost replace the text on your page. Always select images and graphics that will help your viewer's comprehension. Web pages can advertise products and services, so the images should reflect the page's purpose. Images appeal to people's emotions, so it's important to choose pictures that create the right mood to achieve your purpose.
