Treatment Plan No one magic therapy; women need reassurance and information Important to discuss family planning Usually tx w/ low‐dose OCPs •May add an insulin sensitizing agent Metformin is used Decreases hyperinsulinemia and reduces LH and androgen production to facilitate ovulation Not yet approved for use to treat infertility May add an anti‐androgen (usually spironolactone ) May need a specialist follow up

Primary Amenorrhea: History: •

Usual complete health history with special focus on: • Age of appearance of breast buds and pubic hair (if present) • Age of mother's menarche • Any sexual activity • Neurological sx: Blurred vision Medications • Dieting and any eating disorders Drug use Exercise Should still have breast and pubic hair
