CH 6 history
Suppose that you have just been accepted as an apprentice to a stonemason. Write a short letter to a friend describing what this means for you and what the next few years will be like as you try to become a master stonemason and a member of the guild.
Dear Christopher Wellington, It brings me great joy to inform you that I have blessedly been accepted as a stonemason apprentice! This surely solves my many difficulties concerning my financial future. I will now have a stable source of shelter and food, and will finally have the possibility of becoming a member of the Guild and become a master craftsmen. The next few years foretells days of hard work and labour, and my new master tells me I must wake up early everyday to tend to the shop, and learn the teachings of the trade. I will surely have many sores and blisters by the time I am through! Nevertheless, I am grateful for my good luck, and I truly appreciate the chance I have been given. God bless, Richard Therinford
