Loose & Strict constructionist. Loose, if it doesn't say you can't do it they will do it. Strict, they will follow the Constitution word by word.

Madison and Jefferson were strict constructionist, and so since the national bank wasn't stated in the constitution, they thought it was going against it. By creating a national bank, they felt that Hamilton was going over the power, opposed because they gave Federal Government way too much power.

New immigrants and members of the press affected because Jefferson was Democratic-Republican and Hamilton was a Federalist.

Washington advised that the government shouldn't too often borrow money and avoid the stocks of debts. Washington also warned/advised the nation against forming a permanent alliances with other nations because by choosing sides it's risking the U.S. into war.
