Chemistry Final Exam (Chapter 9)
Stoichiometry
Quantitative relationship between reactants and products and their component atoms in chemical reactions.
Theoretical Yield
The maximum amount of product that can be produced from a given amount of reactant.
Actual Yield
The measured amount of a product obtained from a reaction.
Percent Yield
The ratio of the actual yield to the theoretical yield expressed as a percent.
Mole Ratio
The relative number of moles of the substances required to produce a given amount of product in a chemical reaction.
Limiting Reactant
The substance that controls the quantity of product that can form in a chemical reaction.
