Bits vs Bytes

Bits and Bytes both measure amounts of data. However, they are typically used in two different contexts. Bits, kilobits (Kbps), and megabits (Mbps) are most often used to measure data transfer speeds. ... The other important difference is that bytes contain eight bits of data.

URL

A Uniform Resource Locator (URL), colloquially termed a web address,[1] is a reference to a web resource that specifies its location on a computer network and a mechanism for retrieving it. A URL is a specific type of Uniform Resource Identifier (URI),[2] although many people use the two terms interchangeably.[3][a] URLs occur most commonly to reference web pages (http), but are also used for file transfer (ftp), email (mailto), database access (JDBC), and many other applications. Most web browsers display the URL of a web page above the page in an address bar. A typical URL could have the form: http://www.example.com/index.html, which indicates a protocol (http), a hostname (www.example.com), and a file name (index.html).

B2B vs C2C vs B2C vs C2B

B2B refers to businesses that are focused on selling products or services to other companies are called B2B, or business-to-business. B2C is the type of commerce transaction in which businesses sell products or services to consumers.More recently, the term B2C refers to the online selling of products, or e-tailing, in which manufacturers or retailers sell their products to consumers over the Internet. C2C is a business model that facilitates the transaction of products or services between customers. C2B is in contrast with the more traditional business-to-consumer model, the C2B (consumer-to-business) model allows businesses to extract value from consumers - and vice versa. In the C2B model, businesses profit from the willingness of consumers to name their own price or contribute data or marketing to the company, while consumers profit from flexibility, direct payment, or free or reduced-price products and services.

Thermal vs Laser vs Inkjet printers

Inkjet printing - works by precisely placing extremely tiny droplets of ink onto paper to form an image. Dpi (droplets per inch) is a common acronym that you will see in reference to inkjet printers. Laser Printing - The drum inside of the printer is positively charged by a wire or roller with an electrical current running through it. As this drum is revolving, a laser is projected onto the drum to take away the positive charge in certain places. After this occurs the printer then puts a positively charged toner (black powder) on the drum. This positively charged powder will stick to the parts of the drum that are now negatively charged due to the help of the laser. Thermal printing - Thermal printers do not use ink to print. A special paper, fittingly called thermal paper, needs to be used with thermal printers. Thermal paper is coated with certain chemicals that make the paper change color when heated. A roller will feed the thermal paper over the thermal print head. Where the print head heats the paper is where the image will show up.

Augmented Reality vs. Virtual Reality

Virtual reality creates a completely new environment which is completely computer generated. Augmented reality, on the other hand, enhances experiences through digital means that offer a new layer of interaction with reality, but does not seek to replace it. AR offers a limited field of view, while VR is totally immersive. Unlike VR, an AR user is constantly aware of the physical surroundings while actively engaged with simulated ones. Virtual reality typically requires a headed mount while augmented reality is far less demanding

Volatile vs Nonvolatile storage examples

Volatile memory is also called as temporary memory as it will hold memory temporarily. Non Volatile Memory : A device which can hold data in it even if it is not connected to any power source is called Non Volatile Memory. The typical examples for Non Volatile Memory are your Hard drives and flash drives.
