DEMERARA REVOLUTION
Outcome of revolt
Due to white Englishmen and authorities, lack of unity among the slaves due to factors such as religious difference, lack of planning and lack of military training the rebellion was quickly dismantled and came to an abrupt end 2 days after it began (August 20,1823). Many other participants of the uprising were deported to other Caribbean countries.
