How does google search work

Google starts working for us before we even know we need assistance. It begins by using web crawlers to collect information and organize it into the Search index for us to use. Crawlers are simplifying our search process. They find sites and links and search them for us and bring the content back to the Google search window for us. After searching all of these sites Google basically files it all in into an index while taking into account key words and phrases that would help identify it or lead you to it. The Search bar from Google doesn't just search words for us, it can "help you search text from millions of books from major libraries, find travel times from your local public transit agency, or help you navigate data from public sources like the World Bank". By using a series of algorithms Google determines what to return back to us based on what we are searching. Their precise process helps to make our searching incredibly more easy.

Google Advertising

Google's advertising system is set up in a way that it will not annoy the Google user. They don't have ads pop up and block your screen while you are trying to search and they don't overwhelm you with an excessive amount of ads. They also try to aim their ads at you. They want those ads to be similar to things you have searched or areas they feel you would be interested in based on your recent search history. Google uses AdWords which solidifies their advertisement space. It allows only certain ads and specific times that would be designated towards the person that is currently searching on Google. It doesn't show useless ads that they feel like would not pertain to the user.
