x factor

. I went to x factor at the age of 16, 28th of February 2010. I auditioned with the song, Isn't She Lovely by Stevie Wonder. Throughout the competition I was concentrated on winning, but mostly enjoying being on the stage, living the dream while I still can. I didn't make any friends there. At boot camp, my dreams were literally crushed because I was dropped out of the competition. There was that feeling, when you believe that there is no hope. But, just as I said to myself and convinced myself it was over, no more singing for me, the judges called Liam, Niall, Zayn, Louis, and me on stage and told us that we will be a group.

Group facts

. Now let me tell you something about the group. We are 5 members, Louis William Tomlinson, the oldest one, Liam James Payne, Niall James Horan, Zayn Jawaad Malik, and me Harry Edward Styles, the youngest member of the group. Summarizing the band, we are not that of and instrumental group, Liam plays the guitar and piano, Niall plays the guitar, Zayn and Louis play the triangle, and I play the kazoo. We have many fans, but many haters too, what those haters think is that we are these "cool" new homosexual singers, but we aren't that at all, let me tell you about my present personal life. I am mostly interested into older girls. Many rumors were spread about me and Caroline Flack, but we are just really good friends, really good friends, she's a very nice person and we get on really well. I actually heard many many weird comments, but the weirdest thing I heard about myself was that I was dead and I didn't know it..hahaha....But what I do know about myself is that the strangest thing I ever did was get up on a plane to go to the bathroom, in nothing but the blanket around my waist, but it was warm in the cabin, it was hot up there. When being in a band there are good thing, and bad things, the worst thing about being in 1D is that you can't fall asleep in the car with nothing being done to you, like the lads always put sandwiches on my shoulder, and milkshake on my lip, shoving a straw in my mouth or drawing things on your face. But the best thing would definitely be that you get to travel around the world, with the 4 of your best friends, enjoying life. Once on our filming "What Makes You Beautiful" we got pulled over by the police for driving to slow, my friends Louis here, doesn't like going fast. Liam is addicted to cartoons and games, he taught us to play Pokémon, and we became ambassadors of the game. I also teach the guys how to cook, and I had a little incident with a cook from the x factor when I shouted at her to "GET UT OF MY KITCHEN". Me and Louis also love to make up dance moves, like he does the dog and light bulb, the which way, and the traffic, and I do the sprinkler, the upper body, and the leg and pull (show). I am quite a pranker too, while Zayn was sleeping the other day, I shaved my initials in his leg hair, I wrote HS for Harry Styles, quite funny, hahaha, (rub eyes), but everyone makes fun of me too for having 4 nipples. One of my idols is Elvis Presley and Zayn's hair reminds me of him. I would also love to share my tattoos with you, I got 4, a star here, and A here, another one that says I can't change right here, and a 17 Black right here. When talking about sports we all have different interests, Liam is into basketball, Niall into soccer, Zayn into baseball, Louis isn't good at quite anything, but me and Niall are also quite good and enjoy playing golf, we are still teaching the guys though, Zayns there, Louis is getting there, and liam will kill someone if we don't teach him soon.

Intro

Hello everybody, it's a great honor to be here, thank you for having us, we were in this place often but every time is special in its own way. I think I'll just start by introducing myself. So, hello again, my name is Harry Edward Styles, my friends, mostly Liam, love calling me Hazza, which became my nickname.I was born on the 1st of February, 1994, which is actually world's naked day, which definitely explains my worst habbit which is getting naked all the time, sorry.

Conclusion

I just got one more message, girls don't complain about your weight, you are just beautiful, the girls are great and the other fans too. Lastly, I would just love to say a massive massive thank you to all our fans who have supported us in the past 2 years we literally have the best fans in the world, vote, lets see where it will take us, and good luck to the other competitors, you are all really great, and I got my eye set on Taylor Swift so we'll just have to have a little chat after (wink). It was actually very weird at first because I didn't know these lads, they were strangers to me and to think that I might spend the rest of my life with them, was very unpleasant. This happened on the 15th of September 2011. We didn't know where to start so we just got onto with the singing. I was the one with most stage experience, since me and my friends made a little school band, very popular in the school, called White Eskimo, before the x factor competition. While all the members had to concentrate on school, I didn't because I graduated at 15 and was about to start college. During the days in x factor we were trying to make up a name, Liam got the idea of having something with One, because of the uniqueness, and Zayn kept on spitting out weird thing about directions and ways and roads, we just had no idea. Then at one moment, I put it all together, One Direction, that's the name that we should appear at. Niall was pretty good at imitation the x factor host and said One Direction in pride, something like this....One Direction. It was perfect, but I would feel guilty for getting all the credit, I mean Liam and Zayn were some kind of inspiration. As a band we had very little time to prepare for our first performance together, ath the judges houses, this was the biggest deal of all because we are either in their top 3 groups or we're out, its as simple as that. We decided to sing an easy song, called Torn by Natalie Imblugria. We got through the judges houses and won 3rd place in the X Factor, it was a big success. We are proud of ourselves, having 2 years time and we're already worldwide selling artists and already have 28 songs published, amazing.

Family

Me and my family didn't have a perfect life, from when I was a little boy my parents divorced which was a big break for me. My mum's name is Anne Cox, my dad is Dess Styles, and my sister is Gemma Styles, I also have plenty of cousins, there's Ben, Matt, Ella, and Ines. I love my family because they support me and love me just the way I am. Because we all lived in not really good conditions, I decided to change that and use my voice to get a perfect life, or at least better than it was.

before fame

My life as an artist is a fantasy really, I don't believe that we made it this far, I mean we're just young lads living the dream and enjoying life, we are actually the luckiest lads in the world. A person like me, starting his life in a small town in England, Holmes Chapel in Cheshire, working in a bakery, with not a lot of money brought home.

Whithin those 2 years we also won 7 awards: 3 teen choice awards, 3 VMA awards, and a Brit award.
