Hypothesis Are Not a
Question, they are a statement
Two-Tailed Non-Directional Hypothesis
E.g. There will be a difference in how many numbers are correctly recalled by children and adults. The direction of the effect is not specified
Hypothesis
Is a statement about the relationship between two or more variables. A hypothesis is a specific, testable prediction about what you expect to happen in your study.
Directional Hypothesis
Is more specific, includes the direction of a relationship e.g. The more coffee someone drinks significantly increases their energy levels
Non-Directional Hypothesis
Predicts that there will be a difference but does not specify how the groups will differ. Suggests there will be a change in something
