Interview Questions
When can you start
Because I would want to courteous and fair to my current employer I need to give a minimum notice of 2 weeks from the point that you and I decide that I am a perfect fit with (insert company name here).
Tell me about yourself... Start off with the 2-3 specific accomplishments or experiences that you most want the interviewer to know about, then wrap up talking about how that prior experience has positioned you for this specific role
Currently I am attending Massage Therapy courses at SeaCoast Career School in Sanford, among many courses I have studied such as psychology, business, and A&P (anatomy and physiology). Additionally, a couple of my favorite courses was Kinesiology, the study of the mechanics of body movements, and Complimentary where I learned skills in Hot Stone, Reflexology, Deep Tissue, prenatal, massage and Trigger Point therapy.
What is your greatest weakness? This is to gauge your self-awareness and honesty. So, "I can't meet a deadline to save my life" is not an option—but neither is "Nothing! I'm perfect!" Strike a balance by thinking of something that you struggle with but that you're working to improve. For example, maybe you've never been strong at public speaking, but you've recently volunteered to run meetings to help you be more comfortable when addressing a crowd.
I believe that I place undue pressure on myself to create an immediate perfect project, I tend to spend a little too much time on getting every detail picture perfect before moving forward. Creating stress as deadlines approach. I am taking steps to find a good balance between perfect and meeting all the necessary requirements before over focusing on every minute detail before moving forward. Allowing myself to let the creativeness flow as a project evolves instead of forcing perfection from the gate.
If I were to come to your house for dinner, what would you make for me
I love entertaining guests, however I have food allergies myself, so one of the first things I would ask is, "Do you have any allergies?" I would ask you, "What is your favorite cuisine?" and possibly ask you the question, "What is a dish you would like to have, but just haven't been able to have in a while?"
If a penguin walked into a restaurant wearing a sombrero
I would ask if I could take his hat and offer him a glass of ice water
If you were an animal, which one would you want to be? Quantify the question.
If I may ask you, are you speaking specifically about zoo animals, farm animals, aquatic animals, wild animals, or animals of lore
What are you looking for salary
My answer is actually a question for you; tell me what you normally start someone with
Why did you decide to become a massage therapist
My passion for massage therapy stems from the pain and discomfort I witnessed before the passing of my father. I believe in my heart that the addition of massage along side his medical treatment would have made him feel more like a human being, it was from that point forward that I have wanted to help people, to relax, to connect, to recover, and renew themselves through the art massage and the benefits if offers to a persons well being.
