Brandon Sansone

Erica Bush

A strategic leader with a track record for understanding, assessing, and improving technology organizations, Erica Bush has worked at some of the world's most recognized brands (Bank of America, Redbox, United Airlines). Erica is now the director at Sphera Solutions, a startup located in downtown Chicago. She is responsible for developing and improving the company's software delivery processes. As the PMO director, she designs, implements, and provides training for the 350+ person engineering and product management colleagues. Erica is married with four children. She holds a Bachelor's from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Information Technology and Management and a Master's in Business Administration from DePaul.

Chandan Cholenahalli

I am currently part of the MSI Products Cybersecurity team (not Corp IT) with the roles of Open Source Software SME and Cybersecurity professional. I have been involved in Cyber from when it was called Information Assurance(IA) due to the fact that MSI's was required to meet some of the standards set forth by our Federal customers. I did my MS in Computer Science from UMKC and have been working in MSI for the past 12 years in various roles (Developer, Project Manager, Cybersecurity professional)."

Jeff Smith

Jeff Smith has been in the technology industry for over 20 years, oscillating between management and individual contributor. Jeff currently serves as the Director of Production Operations for Centro, an advertising software company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Before that he served as the Manager of Site Reliability Engineering at Grubhub. Jeff is passionate about DevOps transformations in organizations large and small, with a particular interest in the psychological aspects of problems in companies. He lives in Chicago with his wife Stephanie and their two kids Ella and Xander. Jeff is also the author of Operations Anti-Patterns, DevOps Solutions with Manning publishing.

Jessica Kerr

Jessica Kerr has worked as a software developer for two decades. She started in simpler times: C in unix with Oracle, and only the standard libraries. Since then she's worked in Java and a dozen other languages, in startups and enterprises. For the last decade, she has spoken at conferences, which brought her understanding of devops, (real) agile, domain driven design, and resilience engineering. She models software teams as symmathesies: learning systems made of learning parts, both people and code.

John Willis

John Willis is a Senior Director in Red Hat's Global Transformation Office. Prior to Red Hat, he was the Director of Ecosystem Development for Docker, which he joined after the company he co-founded (SocketPlane, which focused on SDN for containers) was acquired by Docker in March 2015. Previous to founding SocketPlane in Fall 2014, John was the Chief DevOps Evangelist at Dell, which he joined following the Enstratius acquisition in May 2013. He has also held past executive roles at Opscode/Chef and Canonical/Ubuntu. John is the author of 7 IBM Redbooks and is co-author of the "DevOps Handbook" and the Beyond the Phoenix Project.

Ade Maron

Join us Tuesday March 16 to hear stories from Ade Maron, ITM class of 2016, as she describes the day to day operations of a service desk as well as her journey from entry level to a service desk lead for Clayco. She will discussion the technology used and how service desks make the tough decision on how to handle infinite requests with limited time and resources. Ade was a 4 year member of the IIT Women's Soccer team.

Jonathan Chen

Jonathan Chen is a self-titled DevSecOps YakShaver, building everything and anything for a successful deployment. Starting as a developer 10+ years ago, Jonathan's quest for adopting new technologies has progressed through VMs, automation, container orchestration, and advocating the related culture and mindset shifts.His current responsibilities include the SAST solution deployment and driving the Appsec Metrics visibility at Motorola Solutions.

Marilyn Barrios

Marilyn Barrios leads the Application Security program for Motorola Solutions. She holds a Master of Computer & Information Security from the Illinois Institute of Technology and has 10 years of IT sales management experience. Marilyn was also previously an adjunct faculty member at the College of Dupage, where she taught courses for the STEM program in the Youth Education Department. She also serves as a coach/mentor for the USAF CyberPatriot program. Marilyn is an Advisory Board Member for the IIT Center for Cybersecurity and Forensics Education, as well as an Advisory Board member for the ASPIRA of Illinois educational program and a recent appointee to the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine research committe on America's Cybersecurity workforce.

Sasha Rosenbaum

Sasha is a Sr. Manager on the Managed OpenShift Black Belt (MOBB) team at Red Hat, where she is helping enterprise customers successfully migrate to managed OpenShift on customers' favorite public cloud. In her career, Sasha has worked in development, operations, consulting, and cloud architecture. Sasha is an organizer of DevOpsDays Chicago, a chair of DeliveryConf, and a published author.

Sharon Xia

Sharon Xia is a Principal PM Manager in Azure Security Data Science team. Since joined Microsoft in 2017, she has led the Program Manager team that is responsible to Azure Security Threat Detection & Investigation platform and Machine Learning (ML) threat detection at Microsoft. Sharon has spearheaded the ML features in Azure Sentinel that is the first AI-based cloud native SIEM from a major public cloud provider. Before Microsoft, Sharon was the Director of Cyber Security in GE Grid Solutions. She was responsible for the cyber security vision, strategy and development program in GE Power Software Solutions worldwide. She led the security team to oversee the security architecture of GE's Energy Management System, Distribution Management System, Market Management System, Smart Grid, Pipeline solution, and new product development, including security features, framework design and implementation for on-premises, edge and Cloud deployment. Sharon received her Master's degree and Bachelor's degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China.

Tim Trutty

Tim is a Research Technology Specialist focusing on gathering data for health related research. This includes wearables, consumer devices, and well as in-lab made devices. Currently he works as a software engineer for a research lab at Northwestern University that leverages machine learning and wearable devices to study obesity and overeating. He also works on projects with the Rush Alzheimer's Disease Center focusing on data capture with markerless 3d cameras (MS Kinect). He works on projects to design and build VR simulations to study real-world decision making ability in the elderly. Much of his work uses cloud technology to gather, store, and access large data sets.

Jinaid Ali

Working as a Senior Consultant at Slalom within its Technology Enablement practice. Enabling customers to build and operate modern cloud native applications running across different public clouds. Focused on implementing DevOps practices, designing efficient continuous integration and delivery pipelines to enable teams to successfully delivery software applications to its consumers. Outside of work, I like to enjoy spending time with my family - playing games, going for walks, etc. Current favorite game is monopoly deal.
