Exhibitions
Also referred to as trade shows, that are usually massive events that draw thousands of visitors and exhibitors worldwide. They can last anywhere from several days to a week.
Incentives
Are probably the most fun part of the MICE segment. They include all types of travel rewards a company offers to individual staff, teams, or partners (e.g., affiliates). In this context, the goal of an incentive is to thank people for their great performance, boost morale, or increase employee loyalty.
Meetings
Are usually organized by corporations, associations, or social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal groups.
Panel
It consists of two (2) or more speakers stating their viewpoints.
MICE
It encompasses mostly business events. Leisure events like concerts or festivals fall into a different category. However, many organizers now add leisure elements to larger events to better engage attendees and create a more memorable experience.

It is a major player in the MICE market. It is a non-profit organization that represents an urban area that tries to solicit business from pleasure-seeking visitors. It represents the different industry sectors such as transportation, hotels and motels, restaurants, attractions, and suppliers, which has the following responsibilities.

It is a meeting in which an expert speaker addresses an audience.
Symposium
It is a meeting where experts discuss a subject, and a consensus of the group is gathered.
Workshop
It is a small group led by a trainer concentrating on skill enhancement
Clinic
It is a workshop where attendees learn by doing. It involves small groups who interact with each other individually
MICE

It is an assembly to discuss a group's common concerns, featuring a panel of experts who tell opposite sides of an issue.

It is an informal discussion on group-selected topics.

It is intended for a large audience that does not need many notes or documents.

Conventions
These are larger meetings that include some form of exposition or trade shows. Several associations have one or more conventions per year and raise a large part of the association's budget.

These include planning the meeting agenda, establishing meeting objectives, predicting attendance, setting the meeting budget, selecting the meeting site, selecting meeting facility and hotels, negotiating contacts, planning exhibitions, preparing exhibitor correspondence and packet, creating a marketing plan, planning travel to and from the site, arranging ground transportation, and organizing shipping and organize audiovisual needs.
Social or Private Events
These include weddings, anniversaries, graduations, reunions, funerals, memorials, births, Christening, charity balls, runs, and auctions.

They develop and market inclusive tours through travel agencies. They generally sell to other elements of the travel trade rather than to the public.

They manage all aspects of the conference organization on behalf of their clients. They often offer tourism-based incentives for companies looking to reward, encourage, and recognize high performance.
Short Break Operators
They offer accommodation packages, usually between one (1) and four (4) nights.
Group Travel Organizers
They often work voluntarily, organizing travel on behalf of organizations such as the Women's Institute.
Travel Agents
They organize personal travel and accommodation for travelers. They provide travel and tourism services on behalf of suppliers, including airlines, hotels, cruise lines, railways, and package tour operators.
Hotel Booking Agencies
They specialize in procuring accommodation facilities and services for their clients. They range from large organizations run by global hotel brands to independent properties.
Tour Guides and Couriers
They travel with tourists and work to ensure travelers' needs are met and that their visit runs smoothly. Their work often involves researching on behalf of the traveler, making travel arrangements for accommodation and sightseeing, and organizing excursions. Many travel couriers are freelance and work for tour operators.
Networking events
Trade shows often have networking parties for subgroups among their attendees. This is a great place to meet potential partners, discuss collaborations, and exchange thoughts on current trends.

Trade shows want to promote growth and innovation in their industry, there is often a dedicated event for this. It is great for start-ups to gain visibility, funding, clients, and job applicants.
