How do you feel about driving large vehicles filled with guests?

You're working in bell services and it is very busy. You have a guest who needs a taxi to get to the airport, a family who is waiting to receive their luggage from the storage room, and your leader has asked you to give them a list related to your role. What do you do first and why?

Taxi first, to make sure they catch their flight! Storage room next. A leader will most likely understand that guest needs should come first.

What makes you stand out from the other candidates?

The experiences I have had have given me a variety of skills and I have been able to use those skills in various workplace environments.

How would you make your fellow cast member's experiences magical?

The same way as I would with guests, making sure they are happy and doing everything I can to achieve that.

Why do you want to do the program?

To make magic, be part of the experience, etc.

What would you do if someone wanted an item and the shop was out of it?

Use MDE or the merch equivalent and search where else it can be found on property. Offer to have it delivered to their resort, or place it on hold if they have plans to be in that area.

What do you plan on doing after your program?

Would like to do cruise line work (hopefully Disney Cruise!) but anything that allows me to interact with guests and make their experience the best that I can.

Are you comfortable talking to guests on the phone?

Yes

Are you comfortable with working in multiple locations and parks?

Yes

Are you willing and able to carry heavy costumes to different locations?

Yes

Are you willing to and able to carry heavy luggage?

Are you willing to learn the set-up and layout of multiple parks, areas, and stores?

Are you comfortable being the first cast member that a guest interacts with on their vacation?

Yes, it's a privilege!

Are you comfortable talking to other cast members via radio?

Yes, not familiar with radio shortcuts but willing to learn!

Are you comfortable with emptying trash cans and lifting heavy garbage bags?

Yes, rotated through a trash position at DAAR.

Are you able to work independently with little to no guest contact?

Yes, rotated through positions at DAAR (markets).

Are you comfortable suggesting items to a guest based on first impressions?

Yes, try to find clues in what they're wearing (ears?) or what area of the parks they're in.

Are you willing to maintain the Disney Look?

Absolutely. Have a nose piercing that I took out for my last program, have a 3x3in tattoo on my left ankle that I can cover with pants or socks. 1in tattoo on my finger that can be covered with a standard size bandaid.

If your phone is ringing, your are checking a person out, and someone in the store needs help with an item, what do you do first, second, and last?

Answer phone, ask to place them on a brief hold, finish cashing the guest out to keep the line moving, then help the guest in store.

What would you talk about with guests while waiting for transportation?

Ask about their vacation or their day. Ask what they have done or where they are headed.

How would you make a guest feel special as they are beginning their Disney vacation?

Ask them if they have any must-dos, see what I can do to make it the most magical for them.

Tell about your favorite movie/character/etc.

Belle is selfless, she practically imprisons herself so her father can be safe. She is unbelievably caring and I strive for that level of selflessness.

What can you offer the company?

Disney experience, customer service experience, etc.

Can you drive/operate a vehicle/boat or ever worked on a system like the monorail?

Don't have previous experience.

How do you handle pin trading?

Engage with guests first, if you notice they're wearing a pin lanyard, ask about it! Comment on them!

How do you feel about being trained on a computer reservation system?

Excited and willing.

What are you most looking forward to?

Getting to interact with guests again, learning about guests, etc.

How will the program help you professionally?

Hoping to go into hospitality, etc.

Housekeeping, Sprau before breaks, DAAR

How do you feel about working/living states away from home?

I've done it. Getting experiences from multiple parts of the country is an incredible experience.

Why do you think transportation is so important at Disney?

It's the most convenient and cheapest way for guests to get around property. It's part of the magic. Getting to see Cinderella's Castle on your way into MK on the monorail is such an amazing experience, no matter how many times you've done it. That view is always surreal.

How do you feel about working in a guest's room while they are not there?

Just be respectful of boundaries, previous housekeeping experience.

What does Disney mean to you?

Magic. Memories. The best hospitality and guest service.

How do you keep everyone on board safe?

Make sure rules are being kept, that's the best way to keep the environment safe.

Discuss a magical moment you personally had within the parks.

Marching band, cast member interactions.

Are you allergic to any chemicals, cleaning supplies, or latex?

No

Are you comfortable operating an advanced costume check-out computer?

No experience but willing.

Do you have experience transporting large groups of people?

No, but willing to learn!
