A licensed brokerage with general liability insurance Reference This is a tough one. All active licenses must have this Errors & Omissions Insurance. A broker with an inactive license does not need this insurance because he/she is not practicing real estate. Companies and individuals buying or selling real estate for themselves do not need to be licensed agents and thus are not required to have this insurance.
