A mysterious man who rides into Camelot on New Year's Eve on his horse. He poses a challenge to King Arthur and his men. When Sir Gawain accepts his challenge, Gawain chops this head off. He lives in the Green Chapel, where he is expecting Gawain to arrive in a year and a day. He feigns beheading Gawain three times.
