deals with how humans effect the environment (good- recycling; bad- pollution), and with how the environment effects humans (good- natural resources; bad- natural disasters)

physical systems

deals with natural changes (natural disasters) that change the earths surface; deals with communities of plants and animals (habitats)

places and regions

deals with physical characteristics (mountains) and human characteristics (buildings); deals with natural characteristics (climate) and cultural characteristics (language)

human systems

deals with the movement of people (cars), ideas (internet), and goods (export/import)

the uses of geography

deals with understanding the relationships among people, places, and environments over time, and plan for the future
