Depression Quest
A game released by Zoe Quinn in 2013. It is a text based game designed to demonstrate the experiences of depression. It is also designed with the intent of helping people fight the effects of depression. The game mimics the Choose Your Own Adventure novels, but the players do not have the access to options. This is done to highlight that many who suffer with depression do not feel good options are available to them.

Born in Hilo, Hawaii on June 6 1990. Dropped out college at UNLV to pursue a Youtube career. YouTube channel is Nigahiga, he is 22 and joined youtube in 2006 with his friend Sean Fujiyosi, Tim Enos, and Tarynn Nago. According to Higa the name of his channel has Japanese origins: "niga" means rant in Mandarin. He has two youtube channels. In Nigahigas' channel he posts videos on a variety of topics that are comedic in nature and often provide pop-culture parody. He also has " HigaTv" which was launched in 2011 as his personal youtube channel.

This phenomenon has been approached from many perspectives as different as anthropology, sociology, media studies and linguistics There are three main approaches to understand media representations 1. reflective or reductionist approach whose main tenet is that meaning mirrors reality 2. The intentional approach, on the contrary, states that it is the author who imposes his or her particular meaning on the world through language. 3. Social media is dangerous Love it because; it empowers me to create and share stories with a large audience and the opportunities that it gives me to listen to the stories told by other people through their tweets, videos, memes, pinterest boards, playlists and blogs. Hate it because; sense of privacy and anonymity that it has taken from me as a private citizen, Renders my life into a fraction of a massive database of market research and then sells my identity back to me through targeted ads that I admittedly fall prey to all too often. When sharing the value of social media, urge to my audience to think carefully before investigating social media and to not be diligent about monitoring their safety and security while they use it. As the gamerGate case demonstrates; social media can expose users to doxxing and threaths of rape, assault, and murder. Social media companies allow plenty of racist abuse.

It ended up happening @ Zuccotti Park and estimated 1k people participated. People camped on the first night and protestors remained there for nearly two months. Police removed them by 11/15/11 The occupy movement spawned the even larger Occupy movement which took place in numerous US cities and 80 countries. Against economic inequality
