stage 3

-inflammatory breast cancer -known as locally or regionally advanced breast cancer

stage 4

-most advanced form -cancer cells have spread to distant parts of the body (bones, lungs, liver)

stage 2B

-tumor is 2-5cm and cancer has spread to 2 or more axillary lymph nodes -5 year survival rate is 86-91 %

stage 1

-tumor is less than 2 cm is size, and has not spread to the lymph nodes nor outside the breast -est 5 year survival rate is 100%

stage 0

ductal carcinoma in situ lobular carcinoma in situ

stage 3A

the tumor is larger than 5 cm and has spread to axillary lymph nodes that are connected as well to the surrounding breast tissue (stroma)

stage 3B

the tumor is smaller than 5 cm but has spread not only to axillary lymph nodes but also lymph nodes above the collarbone

stage 2A

tumor is more than 5cm, but cancer has not spread to the axillary lymph nodes
