Socratic Irony(Example)

The Titanic was promoted as being 100% unsinkable; but, in 1912 the ship sank on its maiden voyage.

Cosmic Irony(Definition)

Type of irony where it seems that events so as to inspire false hopes, which are inevitably dashed.
