Overview: Unit 6 Objective Unit 6 shifts attention to the "monumental" expression of the sacred, and concentrates on those sites and cultures that are traditional emphasized in surveys of world history. Key Concepts Classic Sites of the Ancient World Paleolithic to Neolithic Egyptian Pyramids Mesopotamia Ziggurats Greek Oracles and Games Ancient Americas Discussion Topic 6: At the end of this Unit is a discussion question. You can think about it as you read through the course material for this unit. All the discussions combined will count for 20 percent of your grade. What are the similarities and differences among the sites described in this unit? If you were going to develop your own classification system of "classic sites," what would it be, and how would the above sites fit into the classification? Feel free to create your own label for these sites if you think that "classic" has too many weaknesses. Quiz 6: Please make sure to take the quiz at the end of this unit.
