Citing sources from where you get your ideas is the only way to use other people's work without plagiarizing.
What are 2 good things that citations will help you with besides not plagiarizing?
Citing your sources: 1) shows the extense amount of work you have done 2) strengthes your work by lending outside ideas other than your own

Copying material you have previously produced and passing it off as a new production
If you changed words and altered a context when not using citation is it still plagiarizing?
No matter how drastically you may have altered the context or changed the words you still have plagiarzied if you have not cited any sources.
Are all sources reliable?
No, not all sources are good and right, your ideas may often be more accurate or interesting than those of your sources.
What does it mean to paraphrase?
Paraphrase is a restatement in your own words of someone else's idea. Changing a few words from the original sentence does NOT make your writing a legitimate paraphrase.
Other than citing your source, what is another way you can prevent plagiarism?
Planning your paper will help you prevent being stressed and in a hurry so it doesn't lead you to look for alternatives for writing a paper.

When are you required to use citation?
Whenever you use quotes, paraphrase, use an idea that someone has already expressed, when u make a specific referance, or whenever someone's work has been critical in developing your own ideas.
