How to Read a Land Survey on a sub-development plat小快地
1.review the land transfer document and the title insurance policy Land survey plats will show adjacent land and its utilities and easements地役权. 2.look for the survey legend. This is on the survey plat, and shows the ratio between the distance in the plat and the distance of the actual land 4. know what type of survey you're looking at. This will be in the title of the survey. It should also be in the surveyor's certification. You identify and read each part using the lot numbers provided for the subdivision. If you're looking at a metes and bounds survey, you'll have to figure out the beginning point to understand the lengths, degree angles, curves, etc. 5.look at each boundary line and the land around it. This helps you identify borderline easements that could have developed when the land was subdivided. Be sure to locate all easements, utilities, improvements, and the distance between the improvements and boundaries and easements. 6.Then locate any natural elements such as water, minerals, vegetation
