A colony created by a grant of land from a monarch to an individual or family! The person given this colony by the Monarch was able to run their colony as they wished! They were even able to appoint their own governors!

acts that controlled the flow of goods between England and their Colonies! !... Part 1.... requires the colonies to export natural resources only to England... England would then export those goods to other countries....Part 2 ...goods bought by the colonies from other countries had to go to England first so they can be taxed.... Part 3... all trade had to be carried on ships built in England or the colonies with an all english crew
