NOTE: When the verb is an infinitive construction, such as ir a +[infinitive] the direct object pronoun can be placed before the conjugated form or attached to the infinitive. EX. This is called a personal a; THERE IS NO ENGLISH EQUIVALENT FOR THIS CONSTRUCTION Ex: Mariela mira a Carlos. - you use "a", because carlos is a person and he is the noun that receives the action of the verb mirar. Ex: Mariela mira television - you don't use "a" because television isn't a thing
