umbilical region
Centermost region, includes the umbilicus (navel).
hypogastric region
Immediately inferior to the umbilical region, encompasses the pubic area.
epigastric region
Immediately superior to the umbilical region, overlying most of the stomach.
hypochondriac regions
Lateral to the epigastric region.
iliac regions
Lateral to the hypogastric region and overlying the superior parts of the hip bones.
lumbar regions
Lateral to the umbilical region, between the ribs and the flaring portions of the hip bones.
right upper, left upper, right lower, left lower
