Round because he cares about his son but he is also very serious. Dynamic because he just wants his son to help with the BBQ resturant but then in the end he helps with the project and really cares about what Marcel thinks.

Mr. Collins (Round, Dynamic)

Round because he cares about his students. Dynamic because he needs to make his kids interested in class and then he doesn't because they love the project that they are doing.

Marcel (Round, Static)

Round because he does what his dad wants him to but then he also wants to go to Hollywood and become an actor. Static because he because he stays this way throughout the whole book.

James Harris III (Round, Dynamic)

Round because he dosen't like school and acts like a hot shot but then he cares about his brother and doesn't want him to hang out with the people he is because they are not good. Dynamic because at first he doesn't like school and is only doing the project because he wants to bring up his grades but then, in the end, he loves it and gets everyone to start the project back up again after it is destroyed.

Rhondell (Round, Static)

Round because she is shy but also wants to go to collage. She is static because she stays like this through out the whole book.

Sharice (Round, Dynamic)

Round because she is very shy but also isn't at the same time. Dynamic because she dosent wnat anyone to help her but then in the end of the book she is asking Rhondell's Aunt Asia if she would foster her.

Sharice

Round, Dynamic Student She works hard. She asks MOTIVATION: Not being bothered. To have a family

Mr. Collins

Round, Dynamic Teacher He is he is a nice guy but when his class is not behaving he gets mad. MOTIVATION: To get his kids interested in class.

James Harris III

Round, Dynamic Teachers He thinks nothing is important and he doesn't try MOTIVATION: In the beginning He doesn't have any. But towards the end he wants to get the project done.

Willy Q

Round, Dynamic Marcel's father Doesn't like that is son is not at home helping him Doesn't like that is son is not at home helping him MOTIVATION: Getting his son to help him

Marcel

Round, Static Student His father wants him home and helping but he wants to be at the math club. MOTIVATION: He wants to be a movie star or comedian.

Rhondell

Round, Static Student She is very quiet. She is also very nice. MOTIVATION: She wants to go to college

Foster

Sharice is a foster child.

Neglected

Sharice was treated badly/neglected by her foster mom.

Frostbite

Sharice wasn't allowed to go inside of her foster mom's house by herself so she had to stay outside had almost get's frostbite

Aunt Asia (Flat, Static)

She is responsible and wants to take in Sharice as her foster child. She doesn't go through a change.

Why is the setting considered urban

The setting is urban because it is a city.nSo they ride the city bus. This also impacts the characters becuase the part of the city is not that good. For example it is rundown and same people who live there don't have the best intentions.

The tetrahedron project was destroyed/ vandalized

Theme of the novel

The theme of the novel is that you should never give up. One example is that when the project they don't give up. Although they give up at first then they start back up again.
