Nape

Back of neck and consists of hair below occipital bone. Nape can be found by taking horizontal partings, or by making a horizontal line across the head at occipital bone

Top

By locating pariental ridge you can find the hair that grows on the top of the head. Hair that lies on the head shape. You can locate the top by parting the hair at the pariental ridge and continuing all the way around the head.

Front

By making a parting, or drawing a line from the apex to the back of the ear, you can seperate the hair that naturally falls in front of the ear. Everything that falls infront of the ear is comsidered front.

Back

By making parting drawing a line from apex to back of ear you can locate the back of the head

Sides

Easy to locate. They include all hair from the back of the ear forward, below the pariental ridge

Crown

The crown is the area between apex and back of pariental ridge on many people, the crown is flat and the site of cowlicks or whorls. Because of this it is extremely important to pay special attention to this area when cutting

Bang area

Triangular section that begins at apex and ends at front corners. Place comb on top of the head so middle comb is balanced on apex. The spot where comb leaves the head into natural falling position fall farther than the outer corner of eyes
