Status Bar for drawing aids

(dt) dynamic text- places individual line of text in a drawing and allows you to see each letter as it is typed. Allows basic editing using the backspace key. Allows you to enter multiple line of text with one command at one location or multiple locations.

Erase

(e) delete single entity or group of entities. use pick box

Ellipse

(el) creates and ellipse or an elliptical arc

Extend

(ex) extends the object

FILLET

(f) connects 2 lines, arcs, or circles of a smoothly fitted arc of a specified radius. [Undo/Polyline/Radius/Trim/Multiple]

Linetype

(lt) changes the type of line from continuous to non continuous

Offset

(o) Creates an exact copy of the object a certain distance away. [Through/erase/layer]<through> select second point [exit/undo] <exit>

pline

(pl) a line that can have a different thickness from start point to end point.

polygon

(pol) creates polygons. inside diameter or edge. In. dia. is default. 3-1024 sides Inscribed= inside circumscribe= outside

Allows you to select objects that are similar to selected object or objects. Pick objects then right click.

Object Snap tracking

F11: assist in drawing objects at specific angles and in specific relationships to other objects. Works in conjunction with object snaps and displays temporary alignment paths called "tracking Vectors",

Dynamic Input

F12: displays comand entries at cursor graphic area. Relative not absolute. Uses tab key to switch between coordinates and angles

Help

F1: provides an explanation of any AutoCAD command or system variable. Can be used as a transparent command.

F8: Restricts movement to vertical and Horizontal axis. on/off<off>. useful for quickly developing horizontal and vertical lines. entry "Yes" overides

Snap

F9: Restricts the movement of the cross hairs to intervals that you define. on/off/aspect/rotate/style/type <current>
