Reciprocal
Definition: If we think of a whole number as being "number/1", then the reciprocal is the just like "flipping it over" - "the flip" Example: 8/1 1/8
Least Common Denominator
Definition: When the denominators of two or more fractions are the same, they have Common Denominators. The LCD is the smallest of all the common denominators. Example: When the denominators of two or more fractions are the same, they have Common Denominators. The LCD is the smallest of all the common denominators
Terminating Decimal
Definition: a decimal number that has digits that do not repeat forever Example: a decimal number that has digits that do not repeat forever
Repeating Decimal
Definition: a decimal number with digits that repeat 4-EVER! Example: a repeating decimal is when you have a whole number say for example your whole number is 4 and your decimal numbers are 657 and the they keep repeating so your number would be 4.657657657
Bar Notation
Definition: a way of recording repeating decimals by drawing a bar over the repeated digits. Example: a example of bar notation is bar over 45 in 4.45
Quotient
Definition: answer to a division problem Example: The quotient is the answer to a division problem.
Product
Definition: answer to a multiplication problem Example: 8 times 5=40 40 is the answer to a problem

Definition: fractions with different denominators Example: 1/8 3/2 4/5

Rational Number
Definition: is a number that can be expressed as fraction made of two integers. Example: A rational number is any number that can be expressed as the quotient or fraction of two integers.
Dividend
Definition: the amount you want to divide up or the numerator Example: 24/4 24=dividend

Definition: the term of a fraction, usually written under the line, that indicates the number of equal parts into which the unit is divided; divisor. Example: bottom number in a fraction For example in 5/6 the 6 would be the denominator
