All of the decisions I make about my life will be done in light of what it means to be a follower of Christ. Colossians 3:2 - Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things. Romans 6:14 - Sin will not rule over you, because you are not under the law but under grace.

Resurrection/What happens to the believer when he is resurrected? To the unbeliever?

All stand before God Believer is changed and will live with God forever - 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 - We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. Mortal will be clothed with immortality and the corruptible with incorruptability Revelation 21 - God's dwelling with humanity. Unbeliever will go into eternal torment - 2 Thessalonians 1:9 - These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord's presence and from His glorious strength.

Apostolic authority - did the apostles write it? Antiquity - When was it written? Orthodoxy - did it follow the rules of faith? Catholicity - was it universally accepted? Tradition - How and by who was it written? Inspiration - What was the source?

Mission and Values/In what way is the task of Alliance missions also your personal responsibility?

As a follower of Christ I'm to help fulfill the Great Commission. As a member of the Alliance family it is my job to support Alliance mission through prayer, giving, going and sending.

Sanctification/In what way is progression connected with experiential sanctification?

As we walk by the Spirit, we become more like Christ. Galatians 5:16 ~ I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. Romans 6:2 - How can we who died to sin still live in it. Romans 6:11 - So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Mission and Values/How do you reflect this mission in the life of your congregation?

Be teaching on what it means to know Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King and what that looks like in our lives. Teaching on the Great Commission. Encouraging Congregation to support Alliance Missions, and encouraging them to live out their faith in our community.

Constituted Authority/Why is it important for the pastor to attend GC and DC?

Because he will be able to hear from the leadership and take those directives back to the church to carry out. Personal encouragement and spiritual renewal

Doctrine of the Church/What are some of the metaphors used in Scripture to describe the Church?

Body of Christ - Eph.4:15-16 - "But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head - Christ. From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part." Bride of Christ - Eph. 5:22-26 - wives submit to husband as to the Lord because Christ is head of the church. Husbands, love wives as Christ loves the church. Branches - John 15:1-2 - "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vineyard keeper. Every branch in Me that does not produce fruit HE removes, and He prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit.

Condemnation John 3:18 - Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God. Death Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Person of God/What are some of the evidences and arguments for the existence of God

Cosmological or SETI - everything begun owes its existence to some producing cause. This cause must be infinitely great. Teleological - order or the position of things pervading a system imply intelligence and purpose as the cause of that order. That will or intelligence must be adequate to produce and direct the order. Moral argument - Man's intellectual and moral nature requires an intellectual and moral being for it's author. Man's emotional and volitional nature requires for its author a being that can meet the demand for these things in the human soul.

DS is the pastor for the pastors. He is there for advice, prayer support, and is the final authority on disputes that the church cannot manage.

The Person of the H.S./What does the Scripture teach concerning the baptism of the H.S. and the filling of the H.S.?

Given the H.S. as a deposit at salvation. Baptism is the initial work that occurs in the life of a believer when they encounter Christ. Eph. 1:13-14 = When you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed in Him, you were also sealed with the promised H.S. He is the down payment of our inheritance, for the redemption of the possession. to the praise of His glory. Acts. 2:38-39 - Repent and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the H.S. God created the heavens and earth. Not sure about literal 6 day creation but God created. No macro-evolution or transition of species outside it's kind. Only adaptation within species.

God does not contradict Himself. If God tells us to submit to authority then He wouldn't tell us not to do so on a different occasion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 - God is not a God of confusion. 1 John 4:1-2 ~ Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. Romans 15:4 - Whatever was written in past is for our instruction so we have hope through encouragement of Scriptures.

It's vital. With no resurrection there is no faith and no resurrection for us. 1 Corinthians 15:14 - If Christ has not been raised, then our proclamation is without foundation, and so is your faith.

Leviticus 16 - God established a permanent once a year statute of atonement to cleanse the Israelites from all their sins. In the N.T. Jesus becomes the substitutionary sacrifice for man's sin. 1 John 2:2 ~ He Himself is the propitiation for our sins and not only for ours, but also for the those of the whole world. Romans 3:25 - God presented Jesus as a propitiation through faith in His blood, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His restraint God passed over the sins previously committed.

Isaiah 53:4-8 ~ Yet He Himself bore our sicknesses, and carried our pains; but we in turn regarded Him as stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds.

Healing/How would you counsel a believer who has followed the instructions of James 5 and is still seeking a miraculous healing?

Miraculous healing may occur though it may not be on this side of heaven. Sometimes God wants us to walk through an affliction so that we can draw closer to Him, trust Him, learn to rely on Him for all our needs. There may be times healing doesn't occur because of unrepentant sin. 2 Corinthians 12:9-11 - But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may reside in me. So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, catastrophes, persecutions, and in pressures, because of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Healing/What is the difference between miraculous healing and divine life for the believer?

Miraculous healing may or may not occur on this side of heaven. But divine life is available to all believers regardless of physical healing. 2 Peter 1:3-8 ~ His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness...

Missions time in AW group, monthly missions moment in church, ladies from our church attend the district AW retreats where they hear and pray for our IWs.

No, he is the perfect sacrificial lamb 1 Peter 1:18-21 - Redeemed from your empty way of life...by the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish. He was chosen before the foundation of the world...

Atonement/Is the atonement effective in human lives where the gospel is unknown

No, it's not. That's why it's important as The Alliance believes to preach to the ends of the earth. Romans 10:14 - How can they call on Him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about Him? And how can they hear without a preacher? And how can they rpeach unless they are sent?

Lostness/Is there any possibility of salvation after death?

No, there is not. Hebrews 9:27 - "And just as it is appointed for people to die once--and after this, judgment..."

Healing/How is the problem of sin related to the problem of sickness?

Sin is related to the fall as sin and death entered the world through the fall of Adam. Sometimes sickness can be a result of unconfessed sin. Romans 5:12 - Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, in this way death spread to all men, because all sinned.

The Person of the H.S./How is the personal nature of the H.S. demonstrated in the Old Testament?

Old Test. - the H.S. frequently empowered people for special service Joshua with leadership skills and wisdom - Numbers 27:18 - "Take Joshua, son of Nun, a man who has the Spirit in him, and lay your hands on him." Aroused Saul to battle - 1 Sam. 11:6 - When Saul heard these words the Spirit of God suddenly took control of him, and his anger burned furiously. Sanctification/What is meant by positional sanctification and progressive sanctification, and how is "crisis" connected to the two?

Positional sanctification is our ability to stand before God in righteousness because of faith in Jesus Christ. (Jesus does the work) Progressive sanctification is the work I do to follow Christ. (I do the work by making choices). The crisis point is coming to the end of myself and realizing I cannot do anything without more of Christ. Galatians 5:16-18 - walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh..." Philippians 2:12-13 - work out your own salvation, with fear and trembling. For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.

Pre-trib rapture - church removed before tribulation Mid trib - Church removed after a time of tribulation Post-trib - church removed after tribulation My view is post tribulation. Matthew 24 - they will hand you over for persecution and they will kill you. The one who endures to the end will be delivered. Those days will be limited because of the elect.

World gets better and better, followed by 1,000 year period of peace. Then Christ returns in bodily form. Amillenialism no literal millennial reign. We are in the church age now. 1,000 years if figurative. Rev. 20:1-6 is happening now.

It has to do with growth and is ongoing. Romans 6:11-12 ~ Consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, so that you obey its righteousness.

Sin is related to the fall as sin and death entered the world through the fall of Adam. Sometimes sickness can be related to unconfessed sin in our lives.

Universal church is made up of followers of Christ from all denominations and includes past, present and future? Local church is a body of believers who are joined together to carry out the mission.

Unwavering belief that God can heal. Example is the centurion's faith as witnessed in Matthew 8:5-13.

Very important as it helps our congregation see and hear from IWs. Helps to promote the GCF and it gets our people praying for missionaries.

We are no longer in bondage to sin but are able to choose the things of God. Romans 6:11 - Consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God. Galatians 2:19-20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

We desire to know Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer and Coming King, and to complete His Great Commission.

Yes, I do. All 4 gospels show the resurrection as a bodily one. He appeared to His disciples and others multiple times. He ascended bodily into heaven in Matthew 28.

Yes, I do. Because He said He was! John 13:13 - "You have called me Teacher and Lord and rightly so because that is what I am." Acts 2:36 - God has made this Jesus both Lord and Christ
