Copying and blind copying are among the most misused email functions

Copying a team member on an email can be helpful. Blind copying is a little bit tricky. When you use this tool, you are letting someone into your communication loop without other recipients knowing. One of the drawbacks of blind copying is that the blind copied recipient may accidentally reply to all recipients. If that happens, your cover is blown, and everyone will know that you have let someone else into the conversation without their consent. While this tool can be very useful, it can also be overused. Before you copy anyone on an email, ask yourself whether that person really needs to know the information you're sending.

(For example, if you like sunshine and humidity, you may not want to choose a college in northern Michigan.) Is the campus safe? What crimes, if any, happen regularly on the campus? (You will find this information under Campus Security.) Do I want to go to a small school or a large school? Which schools on my list are too big or too small for me? How many students stay at this school to finish their degree program? (You will find this information under Retention/ Graduation Rates.) Does this school offer sports I like to play or watch? If I am from an ethnic minority, will there be many other students from that minority on campus? (You will find this information under Enrollment.)

Family Obligations

Do you need to be home in the afternoon to care for younger siblings? Do you have a family obligation every week at a specific time? Are you going to depend on your parents for rides to and from your job? These and other family considerations may restrict your time and schedule and narrow possible job opportunities

consider and evaluate your budget, think carefully about the following questions

Does your current income cover the cost of your fixed expenses? Do you need more income to meet your total expenses? How many hours will you need to work to meet your budget needs? Is it necessary and/or possible to reduce your variable expenses? Will additional work hours compromise your ability to do the things you need to do to be eligible for grants or scholarships? What adjustments to work or expenses could you make to your income and expenses to make your budget plan work more effectively?

Maintain eye contact.

Highly selective schools will often reject qualified applicants just because they do not have room for all their applicants. Pros & Cons of Social Media

The Good: Social media is like a megaphone—it's easy to get a message out very quickly. It's very easy to connect with and follow people, brands, and companies that you are interested in. Communication is quick and easy. It's easy to paint a picture of your interests and who you are on social media—which can be helpful when you begin looking for jobs and internships. The Bad: It's so easy to use social media that sometimes it's easy to forget that what you say is visible to potentially hundreds or thousands of people! It is much easier to be misunderstood through emails and texts than it is on the phone or in person. Once you've published something, you can't take it back. People might be looking at your profile and you're not even aware of it.

Loan Limits

The amount you can borrow using federal loans is limited by the federal government and may change from year to year. Federal law limits annual loan limits based on your year in college and your dependency status. In addition, there is a limit on the total amount you may borrow using federal loans during your time in school.

Size:

The campus culture of a college will depend on the number of students who attend. At a larger school, classes may be very large, allowing less interaction with faculty larger schools offer a wide selection of activities relating to nearly every aspect of student life—activities such as student organizations, music and drama productions, and sports A smaller school may have fewer activities, but you also may have better chances of getting involved. At a smaller school, you will also have better access to faculty. When looking at a school's size, do not forget that the numbers can be deceptive. The numbers may include distance education students (those taking online courses), local or part-time students who do not live on campus, and students on other campuses. You may find that class size is more important than campus size, especially at a technical or community college.
