Sex is an individuals membership in one of two categories, male or female, based on biological factors Gender is the physical, behavioral, and personality traits that a group considers normal for its male and female members. Difference= Sex is biological and gender is social/cultural a.)Male=XY chromosomes, testosterone, competitive and aggressive female= XX chromosomes, estrogen, more emotional and nurturing.

The belief that heterosexuality is and should be the norm. Everyday experience is in a church its the norm since its against the bible to be homosexual.

The character quality of being sexual a.) It is different from gender because its based on sexual behavior while gender is what sex one thinks they are based on social/cultural items.

1st wave= The earliest period of feminist activism, from the mid-19th century until American women won the right to vote in 1920 2nd wave= The period of feminist activism during the 1960s and 1970s often associated with the issues of women equal access to employment 3rd wave= The most recent period of feminist activism, focusing on issues of diversity, globalization, and the variety of identities women can possess.

An individuals self-definition or sense of gender. a.) Cisgender= Term used when gender identity and/or expression aligns with the sex assigned at birth. Transgender= term used when gender identity ad/or expression is different form the sex assigned at birth Gender Fluid= denoting or relating to a person who does not identify themselves as having a fixed gender. Gender Non-Conforming= Term used when gender identity and or expression differs from societal expectations about gender roles.
