1. When is it a good idea to use lossless compression? 2. When should you use lossy compression? 3. What are the important factors in making that decision?

1. Lossless Compression should be used in highest quality for your images, you should choose lossless over lossy compression. If you choose to go with lossless compression for your images, the trade-off is that you will have larger files. So you will need to find other ways to optimize your website's performance. 2. Lossy compression is used in Images, audio, video. 3. Lossless Compression is used in Text, images, sound. and Lossy compression is used in Images, audio, video.

How is counting in this circle/square system similar to how we count in our regular lives? How is it different?

By repeating this pattern in our regular live we can learn the code of this pattern.

Do you think there is always both a benefit and a harm to digitizing analog content?

Depending on how good or bad the situation is. If you don't digitize the analog content then there would be no actors. But there are some consequences that could happen such as constantly being recreated several times.

Look at the list in the instructions: Brainstorm as to what you think this list represents. When you think you have an idea, come up with another item to add to this list and be ready to explain why it belongs.

Each item in the list represents a nondenominational holiday such as New Years Day, Valentine's Day, Independence Day, and Halloween. The format of the list (two numbers) which happens. Such as 12 25.

What is another example of an abstraction from your everyday life?

Essential information about the data to the outside world, hiding the background details or implementation such as computer programming for instance. I often do coding classes where I do problems which are hard and complicated but with a lot of confidence I am able to solve them on my own without any help from my parents.

What is information?

Facts or details that are collected as a piece of source which are used to gain more knowledge.

Why might we use abbreviations when sending messages?

Features of early mobile phone messaging encouraged users to use abbreviations. 2G technology made text entry difficult, requiring multiple key presses on a small keypad to generate each letter, and messages were generally limited to 160 characters (or 1120 bits).

What made some messages more "difficult" to compress than others?

I made my code hard on myself since I was putting way too many words in the dictionary sections so I had I hard time getting a compression of 40%.

What can we communicate using only two symbols? Is there a limit? What famous code only uses two symbols?

Morse Code

Roundoff error

Occurs when an exact value cannot be made with available place values.

What are the pros and cons of sampling an image more frequently?

Pros: Sampling an image more frequently helps because using it helps improve your memory and it's being processed as you keep on coding. Cons: The trouble of sampling is that you have to do it over and over again until you get it right.

How many different shades of the color blue can you name? How many do you think there are in total?

There are 24 Shades of blue and 260 types of color blue in total.

What happens at each level of creating a digital color image?

They will create more color variants using an increasing amount of bits per pixel, and apply their learning by approximating an analog color image using the widget.

You can only use both Modifications with two options and Four options because, in a binary message, there can't be any more than two options/variables.

Why did we decide to send a message as a sequence of two options rather than modifying our devices to represent more options?

What made some messages "easier" to compress than others?

You had to code the repeating pattern which it it easy for me to compress my code for the second time.
