A chart,
also called a graph, is a graphical representation of data, in which "the data is represented by symbols, such as bars in a bar chart, lines in a line chart, or slices in a pie chart".
Tree structure
an algorithm for placing and locating files in an organized database
Opportunity flowcharts
are a variation of detailed basic flowcharts. They get their name because they highlight opportunities for improvement. Like all flowcharts, they make the process visible
Dashed Lines - (----)
are used on schematic and other types of diagrams to show a mechanical linkages between components or parts of components.
Suffix letters
are used to identify separate parts of a unit upon a diagram when such components appear as single.

capacitor
D

farad
Ovals
indicate both the starting point and the ending point of the process steps
A circle
indicates that a particular step is connected to another page or part of the Flowchart. A letter placed in the circle clarifies the continuation.
A loop diagram
is a causal diagram that aids in visualizing how different variables in a system are interrelated. The diagram consists of a set of nodes and edges. Nodes represent the variables and edges are the links that represent a connection or a relation between the two variables.
Inventory
is a complete list of items such as property, goods in the stock, or the contents of the building. It makes a complete list of the things that are in a place. It is a detailed list of all the things that are in a place.
linear flowchart
is a diagram that displays the sequence of work steps that make up a process. This tool can help identify rework and redundant or unnecessary steps within a process
schematic diagram,
is a representation of the elements of a system using abstract, graphic symbols rather than realistic pictures.
Record
is a thing constituting a piece of evidence about the past, specially an account of occurrence kept in writing on some other permanent form.
Line conversion
is used in drawing electrical/electronic diagrams
Connecting Lines
lines connecting symbols and other parts of on a diagram should be drawn vertically or horizontally.
farad
measures how much electric charge is accumulated on the capacitor.

or the art of representing any object by means of lines and shades

types of flowchart
The layout plan
used to arrange a workplace in a plant by locating areas with high frequency and logical relationships close to each other. The process permits the quickest material flow in processing the product at the lowest cost and least amount of handling.
Picture
visual representation or image painted, drawn, photographed, or otherwise rendered on a flat surface
Poorly defined steps.
Steps which are not well-defined may be interpreted and performed in a different way by each person involved, leading to process variation. "Improvise" is a poorly defined step in the weak link cited above.
Weak links.
These are steps where problems occur because of inadequate training of process workers, equipment that needs to be repaired or replaced, or insufficient technical documentation. "Inform the drill leader and improvise" is one of the weak links.
Bottlenecks.
These points in the process where it slows down may be caused by redundant or unnecessary steps, rework, lack of capacity, or other factors.
Video display terminal
a computer terminal having a video display that uses a cathode-ray tube.
block diagram
a diagram showing in schematic form the general arrangement of parts or components of a complex system or process, such as an industrial apparatus or an electronic circuit
Flowchart
a diagram that uses graphic symbols to depict the nature and flow of the steps in a process
Technician
a person skilled in mechanical or industrial techniques or in a particular technical field
Process
a series of actions, changes, or functions bringing about a result
Tool kit
a small bag or box equipped with hand tools
A box
represents an individual step or activity in the process.
Layout
should show the main features prominently. The parts of diagram should be carefully spaced to provide an even balance between blank spaces and lines. Enough blank space should be left in the areas near symbols to avoid crowding any necessary notes or reference information.
a diamond
shows a decision point, such as yes/no or go/no-go. Each path emerging from the diamond must be labeled with one of the possible answers.
deployment flowchart
shows the actual process flow and identifies the people or groups involved at each step. Horizontal lines define customer-supplier relationships. This type of chart shows where the people or groups fit into the process sequence, and how they relate to one another throughout the process.
A triangle
shows where an in-process measurement occurs
S
switch
Farad
the unit of capacitance. It is named after Michael Faraday.
T
transformer
Q or TR
