Both determine the type of driver you are going to be, but mainly your attitude. Many teens are immature and feel like they are invincible. When they are like this, their driving is reckless. However, if a teen is humble and focuses on the road and doesn't pay attention to distractions, then they are a safer driver. Attitude is the main deciding factor about what type of driver you are going to be.

I am very happy that the GDL Program exists. It has reduced many crashes and helps teens ease their way confidentially into the driving world. However, there are some statistics, like what time the crashes take place, which the GDL can't prevent. The GDL program is very helpful with keeping teens safe on the road, but there is always room for improvement.

Teens are safer when their parents stay involve and enforce their own restrictions, not just rely on the GDL restrictions
